UK, someone corrected me on this a couple of weeks ago. The batteries on the hydrogen FCEV trucks are different from the batteries on the BEV trucks. The batteries on the hydrogen FCEV trucks are from Proterra, while the BEV trucks use batteries from the former Romeo Power.

UK, as a follow up to my previous post, quote "These actions do not affect the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) currently in production as the truck’s battery pack has a different design." (Source https://hydrogen-central.com/nikola-new-ceo-says-hydrogen-semis-still-coming-year-recalls-battery-trucks-forbes/, dated August 27, 2023).

However the following quote from the same article makes me wonder if production of the hydrogen FCEV trucks is delayed until the completion of repairs on the BEV trucks:

"We’ve started the process of pulling trucks back to get them worked on at Coolidge and then it’s about launching the hydrogen truck."

THEY say that the fault does NOT exist with the FCEV as the supplier of the battery there is different
(It is the company - that - laugh - has gone 11 - but has what looks like 12 months of cash - and plans to divide up and issue new equity)
