BJ'S Wholesale Club Announces Voluntary Recall of Pre-Packaged Wellsley Farms Brand Fresh Mushrooms Due To Possible Health Risk
NATICK, Mass., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. today announced the voluntary recall of pre-packaged Wellsley Farms brand fresh mushrooms purchased between February 11 and February 19, 2007 due to a potential health risk.
Test results reported from a routine inspection of produce, showed the possible presence of trace amounts of E. coli from one lot code of Wellsley Farms brand sliced fresh mushrooms. Confirmatory testing is ongoing. Although BJ's has not received reports of illnesses, as a precautionary measure BJ's has removed from sale all potentially affected products.

BJ's members who purchased Wellsley Farms brand fresh mushrooms between February 11 and February 19, 2007 should discontinue use of the product and may return the unused portion to any BJ's Wholesale Club for a full refund.
