I was 100 percent thinking the same thing, particularly the point on profanity. At the very least, I see that a lot more on the side of those who criticize a stock, not just on this board, but throughout I-Hub and most other sites. I'm guessing that those who are using that kinda language, and all caps, etc, are in this as a way of life, and everything depends on the success or failure of these plays. Probably full-time day traders? I would think that would be unbelievably stressful and lead to some frantic posts.
I think back to that daytrader in Atlanta (Mark Barton) who lost a fortune, snapped, and went on a shooting spree back in 1999. I can't remember exactly why, but I thought it had something to do with shorting Yahoo stock, and he kept losing and losing, and ended up down like 500K.
It's that kind of situation that really scares me. People just invest all of their energy in this life and it's incredibly risky, whether you're a bull or a bear on a stock or multiple stocks. I think a lot of people just need that thrill though, but you wonder if the joy of winning is outweighed by the pain of losing.
