Cannot be the case, given there is already a verdict. At a minimum, FHFA has to tell us whether they will appeal. If not, then when and how they will pay the $612 million back to the shareholders.

It is a difficult decision. There’s no ground for an appeal. It is a clear case and a jury trial with strong unanimous decision. It seems easier if they announce a plan to release Fannie and Freddie to claim the credit in completing the last piece of unfinished work of the 2008 Housing Crisis.
