Happy to be an inspiration, Shelly. I saw the original Parent Trap in the theatre when I was a kid (9 or 10). My peers and I thought Haley Mills was wonderful. lol Guess who still has the Let's Get Together (yeah, yeah, yeah... two is twice as nice as one) 45 in the original picture jacket. I think the flip side was something like Cobbler, Cobbler mend my shoe(?). Ay-yi-yi. Memories are great aren't they?
BTW, I believe the woman who played the bitch fiancee in the original played the bitch fiancee's mother in The Lindsay Lohan version. She was also in the Beverly Hillbillies playing Cynthia -- a rich bitch snob in the prep school Ellie May gets sent to. Cynthia's mother was played by Doris Packer (Dobie Gillis, Leave it To Beaver). Sorry. I love casting.

I still love the Parent Trap, both versions, but the second one was probably my favorite of the two. I think my older Grandbabies would enjoy that one. I'll have to remind my daughter to watch it.
