Another convenient excuse. Do you think that maybe Nio should have had a clause present that called off the merger if a certain percentage of redeemed shares were met. They handed away board seats and much needed capital for an uplisting. If they had shopped around, I am sure they could have found one for a much cheaper price. They sell name changes at the bodegas in New York for 20 bucks and also take food stamps as payment.

SPAC popularity has been declining in the last couple of years as redemption rates have soared. 430 SPACs were listed on the NASDAQ in 2021, 72 and 2022, and just 14 so far this year. This is why the market did not react very well when this merger was announced last year. The high redemption rate was foreseeable. They were even posts here predicting it well before the bank failure. SPAC redemptions averaged 81% in 2022, before there was any sign of banking trouble and that number has increased this year.

That single bank failure provided a convenient excuse though for this desperation move failing. It really does look like government help is the only option they have left.

Beating a Dead Horse but. Why not.
It’s not our black stallion.

When 95% of all SPAC’s have the same redemption outcome that we got, chances are it would have happened regardless of what excuse we give to management (this time) to enjoy.

We were fast and ready years ago way before anybody else and we have been shovel ready since the beginning of time, the world is going green and every mineral that we are going to produce is a necessity.
Yet here we are at a five year low, with 1/10 the shares.

I say we should wait to see how many REE mines can be built before ours just so we can be within our business strategy going forward, which is the more the merrier and let them go first.

Who can’t be ecstatic about that?
