Thing is, way back then it was a gamble just as it is now. Wildcating is a rough way to go.
However, Givot showed oil is there, of course Zn is not drilling in the Meged field, but there is a Meged field and that's the point.
If this company did not have that mission statement, a lot of the angst towards them would not be present. Then again, I probably would not have invested either.
