Let's all remember that this started because Fannie and Freddie were forced to change from GAAP accounting to MTM accounting. I believe they're back to GAAP. That switch is what caused capital shortfall - it wasn't real. This whole thing didn't need to happen. Changing that narrative appears insurmountable. Go figure...
