Why take on such a losing issue, especially when nobody in the Congress or media (save one or two outliers) believes there is a problem or can explain the government's dubious role and consistent lying?
It's not a winner even when the same could happen to other shareholder-owned businesses.
The current "public" doesn't have time or patience to review this sordid and phony history of their public officials, courts, and adoring media.
That is why I contend only when moderate and middle-income families are hurting and have limited access to mortgage finance options, because of commercial bank errors and mismanagement, will Washington wake up to the obstacles it has stacked against the GSEs.
