It's quite the opposite though..most people do get their news from the tele' and internet....and that is the problem. There is no journalism..only sensationalism. There is no news..only entertainment.

I used to think the same thing until I realized that there is actual journalism taking place on streaming services like YouTube. To take just one area, there are a number of channels following and deconstructing in very intricate detail all of the legal issues Trump is facing. Glen Kirshner and several hosts on the Meidas Touch Network are doing fantastic work in this area. Their work is so high-level because they are actual, practicing attorneys with significant experience. Every time a new filing appears on any of the myriad dockets dealing with some Trump litigation, these filings are described in detail and the next legal moves are (usually correctly) predicted. I have learned a significant amount by listening to their reports.

Yes they have sponsors, but so far they are not driving the content as they do on commercial TV; and so far, the content creators are the gatekeepers for the advertisers, not the other way around. Once that happens (and I hope it never will), some other platform will appear and good journalism will move there.

You just have to be interested enough to search for the earnest practitioners. You have to be willing to dig. If you are actually interested in hearing the truth, you will find an honest voice delivering it. The less commercial the better.
