I hear ya...i have an uncle who is a Dem and just purchased in WY, however we rarely see or talk to him but i'm wondering if that's why (won't tell us). He moved there 30 years ago from IL to Portland area then to Lake Oswego then to i think Bend perhaps.

Is possible he still owns a place there as one of his son's is still there, other is in WY so most likely part of the reason for the purchase of another place.
