Correct. It’s an open label study.

And as such, virtually worthless.

Assuming it actually is being conducted, which is at least debatable.

If I had to guess, I imagine they will do the 1a part within a month or two at most. Probably dose all the low dose gummies and syrup controls in one day, then see results in a week or two. If all is well, go to mid dose and repeat, then finally high dose if no dose limiting toxicities.

Although they have no controls or placebo, they will at least have low, mid, and high dose groups for comparison for mild-moderate Covid subjects in part 1b. If they are looking at any efficacy, such as time to viral clearance, then they could see a dose-effect that supports efficacy (where lower dose is closer to placebo effect).

It will be good to see this drug class finally administered in humans after all this time. I hope it is safe.
