Yes but I inadvertently conflated 2 patent stories. It's true about LI (legal intercept for those not familiar) and MS as I had been saying earlier and it's also true that at least the story was that the NSA had offered something like a billion or billions to any company that could give them LI, but of course, just like vplm narratives over the year, that story was also pure BS as believe the NSA did not need vplm or their technology to start tapping voip calls to this day.
The Apple/RBR thing was a completely different matter. I wasn't even aware of that competition.
