It is Hango that is the apparent problem. They either don't have their act together, or are still focusing their attention to filling orders from Compaq for their inferior PJB. Hopefully Eastec has their act together a lot better. One would suspect so, or Intel wouldn't have been interested in them.
My hope is that all these delays, for "phanton" reasons, is so the VoiceNav version can come out from the get-go. This could explain the near bizzaar reasons for delays. Certainly they (anyone in the chain) wouldn't want to reveal to the competition that this is what they're up to, so they wouldn't cite this as the cause for delays IMO.
Speaking of competition; I'm now wondering if SonicBlue may be our yet-to-be-announced startegic partner, based on their expected release of a new, software upgradeable, multi-codec, 20gig PJB. That sure sounds familiar, and they apparently have effective logistics support available. Would be good, them already having a strong following. Just another possible target on our strategic partner dart board!
