Bravo. It shows we should all do our own research and not take any one person’s random opinion as fact. Again, bravo. I particularly liked this part of what you included:

“Heavy and extra-heavy oils are expected to become an excellent alternative to conventional oil in the future, but the complexity of their composition makes their flow under natural conditions —without flow assurance problems extremely difficult—.”

Funny, it seems AOT could be in heavier demand as time goes on.

“It is obvious (to all but one) that crude oil is polar. Higher concentrations of polar fractions also results in greater viscosity. IMHO, that is why Applied Oil Technology lab tests have achieved the most dramatic results with the heaviest”

Small fraction contains polar element but it’s insignificant and overall crude is classified as nonpolar. Any attempt to suggest it’s other is just a lack of knowledge and understanding of material science but that is par for the course here..now you must explain hiw these fraction suddenly align and stay that way for 11 hours at .10 KWh per barrel treatment cost. So just to be clear….AISI says pipeline pump stations operate with laminar flows and crude is polar. Hmmmm why don’t we just dilute it with water then?
