#17994 RE: 71chris71 #17992

There is a lot of speculation around the visible facts, as we hope for the best. To the best of my knowledge, T53 has no insider knowledge, however, at least examining the question of a merger was reasonable.

Nixon's new transfer agent specializes in helping companies go public, so it's reasonable to conclude he's going to do that. That agent also has expertise in mergers, although there is no proof Nixon is after a merger.

There is evidence -- the 2+ year trademark case -- that Nixon is working a deal with Ilegal Mezcal. He stopped filing once that trademark case was initiated. He chose to get revoked while settlement negotiations were under way.

He also now seems to be waiting (stalling?) for some future 'benchmark' time or event to re-list (which may or may not have anything to do with this new Bacardi acquisition of Ilegal Mezcal).

Whatever the case is, I'll bet that he opens the Takiza Taco places soon enough, before he files for re-listing. [And note: he now has his new license for the Takiza LODO location, and he already has one for Illegal Burger for the Glendale location.]

Shareholders (who post to ihub) all hated Nixon for going dark (and getting revoked for it), but that also allowed him to keep the details of the whole affair under wraps (for good or bad) until all the details were worked out.

Disclaimer: I'm not defending Nixon as though I'm his lawyer, but am just looking at the whole situation from a long-term perspective.

If Nixon does get re-listed, I'll bet he's going to want to do it when accompanied by a success story (expansion, deal with Ilegal Mezcal, other?), rather than just saying, "Phew, we just barely crawled out of COVID-19 and its aftermath alive, but we're still gasping. But hey, be glad that you can trade at $.0001 again."

Ilegal Mezcal thought it was worth fighting Nixon for 2 years for some interest in the "Illegal Brands" trademark. So, if they thought there was a 'brand problem,' then their settlement will fix it for them and for Nixon. [But we won't know if the settlement is settled until their next filing with the Trademark Board.] We also now know that Bacardi REALLY likes the Ilegal Mezcal brand.

In conclusion, I'd rather look for what is happening than what didn't happen (=speculation wasn't satisfied).
