Prodigy would be shipping eggs to GSS in your scenario. KBLB lost a shipment of eggs from the US because shipping was delayed and the eggs got to warm. Perhaps they were concerned about losses between Prodigy and GSS.
Believe me when I say that I asked myself the same questions you have asked. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to cut Prodigy out of this loop. But I decided to take them at their word.
