Combination of SEC (big brother) and OTC markets ( CE and promotional flag) shenanigans, were the final blow imho.. The Daq has liquidity along with PM/AH trading, along with no fear of a market order being bamboozled. Lots of bag holders on the OTC will never see their $$$ again.. Of course i could be wrong, but imho the SEC achieved their goal of dismantling the OTC wild west market.
