Sad to report she's not going anywhere soon. If the Democrats prevail in 2024 she'll retire there, and if the GOP wins she'll be replaced but nothing else will change.
I agree and have said countless times there is no congressional intervention required to end the c-ship, never has been. The FHFA director and the Treasury secretary could do it over coffee, but they won't. As long as the Dircetor and members of Congress still use the "risk to taxpayer" line in ANY way, it shows that they don't understand, or more likely that they do but need to create a scapegoat.
