I suppose if you call a 5 million dollar payout and yet another blemish on his ongoing record a “ Nothing burger” then so be it.

Brace yourself.
Special counsel Jack Smith is finished with collecting testimony and other evidence in his investigation into Donald Trump's classified documents taken to Mar-a-Lago, according to a report.

Reporting Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal revealed that those close to the former president are "bracing for his indictment" and are searching for ways "to fundraise off a prosecution."

On Monday, the New York Times reported that the Justice Department had subpoenaed financial documents from seven of Trump's overseas companies in conjunction with the documents probe.

Over the course of the investigation, Mar-a-Lago staff, Trump aides and lawyers have been called to testify before the grand jury. A number of the interviews have come in recent weeks as the probe comes to a close.

Sure sure,
Trump was found liable for defamation and sexual abuse by a jury, which ordered him to pay $5 million in damages, and Carroll asked a court to amend her initial case to seek an additional $10 million in damages after he repeated his denials during a CNN town hall days later -- which Trump repeated yet again Tuesday morning on his Truth Social website.

Now tell me he’s not stupid.

Trump criminal trial over porn star payoff set for March, months before 2024 election

Donald Trump will go on trial beginning March 25 for the New York criminal case in which he is accused of falsifying business records related to a hush money payoff to porn star Stormy Daniels, a judge said Tuesday.

That trial is set to begin amid the presidential primary season and less than eight months before the 2024 election. Trump is currently seeking the Republican nomination for that race.

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan announced the schedule for the trial as Trump appeared in court via a video hook-up for a hearing in the case.

Merchan warned Trump that he could be sanctioned if he violates an order that restricts his ability to make public comments about aspects of the criminal case.
