Then you don’t appear to understand what the Russell 3000 INDEX actually is and how it works.

There are index funds based on the Russell indexes, those would divest their shares should Mullen be removed. Google is your friend, try “Russell Index Funds.” You can also look at institutional holdings, some of those funds will say directly if they’re based on an index, and if they don’t you can look at the prospectus for the fund to see what it’s based on.
