volcano: I hope you are right, I want you to be right about a deal signing next week, because I’m long on GTCH. I have, however, negotiated and prepared dozens of LOIs in my former professional career (now retired). Time and time again, LOI deadlines, which are largely aspirational (expressions on “intent”), can slide—so long as ALL parties are still in the hunt.
I’d love to see the Bannix/Evie deal get signed up ASAP. But deals like this are complex, with some nuance. There are lots of “deal points.” The parties to the LOI can MUTUALLY extend, or simply ignore, their own supposed deadlines if they wish—if all parties are still talking, negotiating and making progress. It is their privilege to do so; we, as non-parties, having absolutely no say in the matter. It is their timeline, to meet or extend as they wish as negotiations proceed, not our timeline. And related PRs mean very little as time goes on; they are quickly irrelevant history.
So, I hope you are right about an imminent signing. But, unless you are an insider at one of the companies, your seeming certainty about an imminent deal signing, when you have no say in the matter (and no more informed knowledge of the pace of the transaction than, say, does a random car wash attendant), is very distracting.
I know: I can just ignore your fevered posts. I suppose I should. I don’t think you are a despised “pumper”; you seem too earnest. But your naïveté is getting to me. Carry on, I guess.
