“When I say my shares are short, it does not mean I have shorted shares.”

When everyone else says their shares are short, that means they have a short position.

You could also say you’ve created a short position with some option contracts. But since there are no options traded on KBLB, you couldn’t possibly mean that.

It’s important to learn the industry lingo when trading. Otherwise you might be taken for a novice.

You are welcome for the lesson.

"When I say my shares are short, it does not mean I have shorted shares"

yes, thats exactly what it means...that may have not been the intent...but when you say you have shares that are short, that means you are short the stock...but i see now that what was meant was shares that are short...TERM...

"If I trade long shares (sell long shares, wait until the price drops and buy new shares) I lose the tax advantage for these new shares unless I hold for another 12 months. You are welcome for the tax lesson."

if one is a long term investor and does not trade, then theres no point in worrying about trading...if one trades, they dont care about long term anything...not the stock, taxes or anything else...
you are welcome for the stock market lesson...

"The first step in a pump-and-dump is to buy a block of shares. Then comes the pump. After that point, the shares are dumped."

in any kind of investing, whether it is legit, manipulation or fraud, the idea behind all of it is to BUY LOW and SELL HIGH...

a pump and dump doesnt begin with driving the shareprice higher...it begins with accumulating all the shares one wants and THEN, pumping the stock higher...there has to be a pump...somehow, someway...just buying stock is not a PUMP...legit news is not a pump...a pump is something that has or is being MANUFACTURED...

silence is not a PUMP...i should think that would be obvious...
