big enough to do the job...shouldnt take an enormous building...and it doesnt have to be an actual lab...just a highly controlled environment as far as humidity and climate...i doubt it needs to be anticeptic like a lab...more of a warehouse type building...

its just for raising worms...not doing anthrax experiments...

i should think $50 mil would be far more than needed...

Completely agree. The facility would more resemble a climate controlled cannabis facility than a high tech lab.

Plus, the relatively higher tech husbandry space would only need to be about a 100-250x smaller than the indoor production space, given the fecundity rate of silkworms.

Current rates for building an indoor climate controlled facility for cannabis currently averages about $325-$650 per square foot.

Millipore sigma and Bayer formally Monsanto is who I take care of. You can look it up yourself in St. Louis. Our company has installed and controls 3 of the milli plants and numerous Bayer facilities. To talk about temperature and humidity controls ? You have no idea how much goes into it. I’m not trying to insult you. 24 hour shifts, as far as equipment. Double back ups. Back up generators. You said controlling humidity and temp is no big deal. Well, maybe you didn’t say those words. But you’re talking about 24-7. 365 days a year, major maintenance. Money $$$$. And as far as temp and humidity is not medical? Wrong !! It’s imperative !! Mechanical is freakin expensive man. Look up Millipore Sigma, German owned, numerous locations in the United States. This is one thing I know.and if their name ever popped up on Kraigs site I would invest my life savings !! Do some DD on them !! Respectfully, the beast. This company does not mess around. They have a problem, I drop everything. I hate it.
