Can't hurt. Buffett is just making a strong point against government interference and unnecessary regulation. Buffett and his team won't touch this yet. Once an obvious clear path to release, then maybe.

Someone speculated that he bought American Funds stake. If he's in already, based on volume, he didn't buy it in the open market. He does have a lot of influence and could get things rolling. Question is: why did it take him almost 15 years to speak up?
