Spyke, other than VPLM and Amazon management, no one has a clue what the final settlement number and arrangements will be, or even if the talks between the two will end up in a settlement. But what we do know is the Waco court has ruled favorably for VPLM thus far. The court has required that both parties come together to work out a settlement, else there would be a day in court for both parties. It is believed that the Waco court favors patent protection. It is also known that if this does go to court, Amazon knows full well that the judge could award VPLM treble damages, which is triple the original damages. And, if Amazon settles, a rational person would think that the other willful infringers will not want to face a hostile court that has helped, in some small part, to bring Amazon down. So everything we do know thus far favors VPLM greatly. And what we don't know favors no one that is out of the loop. The best we can do right now is to hope and dream bigtime.
