Forte, the early 2023 Kentucky Derby favorite, was disqualified from a 2022 victory because of a failed drug test.

Per BloodHorse's Bob Ehalt, Forte tested positive for meloxicam, an anti-inflammatory medication, after winning the Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in September. Along with the disqualified result, trainer Todd Pletcher received a 10-day suspension and $1,000 fine.
