#1320 RE: Kswies #1319

Chile and the USA, slow walking lithium production helps other countries/mines, yes. But, if no mining in the US and the dollar will keep losing value.

EV's,are in full production accross the world. Timing could work for Sayona's half of production. Price for spodumene hopefully will go up before July..

Lithium carbonate prices rebounded to CNY 180,000 per tonne from the 19-month low of CNY 165,500 touched on April 24th, the first increase since hitting a record-high CNY 600,000 in November 2022 after Chile nationalized its lithium industry. The decision is expected to hamper long-term output growth from the world’s second-largest producer, but ample supply from elsewhere and poor global demand kept prices 65% down year-to-date. The Chinese government ended cash subsidies for households purchasing new energy vehicles, resulting in NEV sales growth slowing to 22% year-on-year in Q1 of 2023 compared with the 93% surge in 2022. The overproduction of batteries at the end of the last year to take advantage of subsidies also attributed to the unsustainable inventory rise and prompted the sale of goods at a steep discount, with sharp capacity cuts throughout the supply chain.
