Yes and No - IMO - as an opinion
1. Congress should appropriate the funding if they want to subsidize higher risk mortgagors. " Yup - why not. But it will not happen. And if we wait for Congress on every issue (declared unclear and major by this court) - the whole GOV grinds to a halt while COURTS become king - and god ---- scary to me .
e.g. Social Security is paid by us and employers and there is tons of subsidy by those who die "early" to those who collect for long and longer periods of time and cross subsidy from higher incomes to lower incomes. It is IMO a GOV role that has made our democracy work --- Social - Medicare - Income Tax and the list goes on forever AND MUCH is not in clear language in legislation - it is just GOV doing its work . Leave every thing "new and different" to courts and the "experiment started in 1776" ends up a one leg stool for courts alone and our country and democracy may well be dead.
2. Besides, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have already transferred HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS to the US Treasury (in return for NOTHING) and are in need of a serious Capital Rebuild.
For sure we have been robbed. And, I ask you - with COURTS as your source of truth and decision making !!!! - how come we have not seen the COURTS call out this robbery ? Why have courts not corrected this clear and massive injustice (e.g. NWS ) ? Why have they not sent us our money?
i.e. so far courts have failed and of course Congress is too busy with quotes tht get them on the news with headlines and has not said BOO on our issues so they are worthless too (as was a group of Treasury Executive Branch Secretariies)
