$VXIT has been downtrending for years despite those same stupid calls.

Better advice would be "don't get caught HOLDING shares" - how much pain has THAT caused?

If $VXIT is going to have a meaningful move there will be plenty opportunity to buy it, same as any other stock that makes meaningful moves.

Only stocks you need to pick the bottom is pump-n-dumps, cuz they reverse after a few days...
