I think that’s generally the case when the owner’s mindset is to SALE as soon as he can. I worked for several companies with multiple operating plants, as a GM, and was mystified that a common denominator with the owner was efficiencies weren’t a big concern……revenue was paramount.
One such individual was co-owner of Jaguars NFL team. He said, I quote, ‘F’ effieciencies , just get the revenue”. The reason being….a buying company always thinks they can ‘do it’ better.
