LMFAO! How did the APES save the company? The APEs had nothing to do with the business metrics and box office attendance, etc. How could a group of shareholders save the company? I agree the APES manipulated the share price up to ridiculous heights to the point where AMC as a company had a ridiculous market cap that could never be justified based on its financials, etc. But the company was precluded by the APEs from capitalizing on that when it could not sell shares at that level to raise capital and retire debt. If anything, AMC incurred substantial unnecessary costs along the way just dealing with the APEs and their continual nonsense, e.g., the cost of the Preferred APE issuance that should never have been necessary, and the cost of the more recent workaround maneuvers all made necessary by the APES.
