By the way, when rail cars are delivered, the receiver has only a few days to unload the car and release it back to the railroad. If there is any delay then the receiver has to pay a daily demurrage fee, or rent, for holding onto the ca too long. Therefore the cars are expected in be in and out so the railcar can be returned and used for another income producing dispatch..

From the data provided by sailcat's observation, it takes about 50 minutes to load a truck. Each railcar holds up to 33,800 gallons of product. So each rail car will fill three trailers and part of a fourth. Nine cars indicates a lot of activity. TTNN, to my knowledge, is not in the business of storing empty rail cars.
