While a stock split itself doesn't cause the price to plummet, the market's perception of the company and its future prospects can impact the stock price after a split. If the market views the split positively, the stock price may rise after the split. Conversely, if the market perceives the split negatively, the stock price may fall. However, these fluctuations are typically due to external factors and market sentiment, rather than the stock split itself. Spider Silk Commercialization with a look at it being done continuously will most likely increase the positive market sentiment and concurrently the share price. We shall see!

<< Maybe another stock split will be in order.; similar to that of May 28, 2009.. 10:1, I believe >>

This is certainly a misleading statement….SMH

HERE IS THE TRUTH……..

The CEO… Mr Kim Thompson is brilliant!
He owns Around 230,000,000 Million shares

Rayo….
“A little historical reminder.

Some years ago, KBLB had somewhere close to 50M shares outstanding and did a 1 for 10 forward stock split. This took them to somewhere around 500M shares. The fact that they are nearing 1 billion shares over more than a decade, shouldn't concern anyone that might be concerned about unlimited number of authorized share abuses.”

I realize that.

When I stated "I believe," it was recalling the exact date and ratio to be split.

Was during hard economic times; when many tech companies were folding or cutting back their resources significantly.

If the Feds continue raising rates, it's going to effect more than just mortgages and and other lending tools,

Companies bottom lines, come to mind.

Larger companies, announce layoffs, while significantly smaller ones go out of business.

It would have to be much higher than that (because right after a stock split the price usually plummets).
