That about sums it up. Russia is trying to align itself with China, but Xi just wants to also weaken Putin, he knows in his continent there can only be one Super power, besides China plays the long game, they think in centuries. Meanwhile the west just goes about trying to figure out what true freedom for everyone means. Xi could care less about freedom, he only cares that China remain strong and with as less western influence as he can manage.
