Yes, if it is going to be free fall, like this guy is indicating, then it stems from Fed raising the rates, the Fed wants to create a recessionary economy, this is the nature of the beast the US, every 5-8 years, this is cycle unfortunately we have to go through, where the strongest survive. I don't care what economist say, two things I watch, where the cycle begins and ends and the second thing I watch for as a consumer, where I eat, where I shop, where I go for social drinking, they are all busy, packed houses, from high end restaurants, to Target, Macys, Sephora and everything else in between, people are spending money relentlessly. The Fed is trying to put breaks on that, where there is high demand for goods, inflation rises. End of story. Almost everything we touch now a days is a commodity, lumber, bricks, Gardners, skilled labors is double what it was 2 years ago and people are spending for that skilled labor, try going to UHAUL place and movers to help you move your stuff, they don't work on hourly anymore, they will quote you on the moving job that is requested. Times have changed definitely. The highest item in the US is housing, until housing market crashes, which it won't because people that bought homes back 2 years ago, their rates were below 3%, the economic collapse will be if people can't make their mortgage payments and there are plenty of jobs to go around, people make their house payments regardless whether the rate is 3....5....6 percent. Doom and gloomers have been yelling and screaming from the top of their lungs post covid, but a broken clock can be right at least one time. You have to look at things as consumer perspective not what doom and gloomers say. I only believe in a cycle and what I see with my own two eyes.
