Notice how Chen left on a SATURDAY.

Chen KNEW his last day at the company was Friday afternoon on the 24th and that he would NEVER return, yet he told NOBODY until Saturday, an OFF day. Like you said, he RAN out the door and blindsided everyone.

So, the speculation that multiple CFOs came across something which caused them to refuse to sign off on the 10-K, the question becomes why did the Auditor sign off?

Is the thinking CFOs may have obfuscated their findings from the Auditor? Now sure but that could very well place the CFO in harms way

Too bad Elite hasnt offered more insight referencing the letter of resignation.. the tight lips usually occur for a reason
