A northbouind huge multi-wheeler truck jumped a jersey divider some years back, killing the 6-months pregnant driver and her young daughter driving in commuter traffic southbound on I-95 in CT. The cop who was at the scene first couldn't identify the car (which had almost instantly been burned to a crisp), not the license plate or make or anything, much less who or how many were in the car. It wasn't til hours later when they retrieved the driver's wallet (which somehow wasn't totally ignited right away) that they were able to identify her.

It was the cop's pregnant wife and young daughter in the car. True story.

She was the receptionist in our office.

The truck driver lived.
