Depends. If the post is comparing stock A with stock B, then it's probably on topic. If the post is promoting another stock, it's off topic.

When posting on a particular stock board is it okay to mention another stock Ticker ?

I haven't posted on a specific stock board in years; but if the stock you are mentioning is a competitor of that company it should be alright. As an example I mention GM of the Ford board.

There are some moderators that are more sensitive than others which might explain the deletions. All that said you have to appeal to admin via PM and even then you might not win your case.
