Well....if you're correct, then this will have to close at or below .0062 sometime in the future.

I hope I've taken profits before that happens then!

> Facts are facts bud, 95% + of fall gaps get filled

I've never seen any statistics that support this claim. When I did some analysis myself some years ago on several years of data, I was not able to find support for this sort of claim.

WarfareTrader. I asked the question about closing gaps on ChatGPT. I stand corrected. You are correct. But then I suppose you already knew that. :-)

Only putting this out here because of the fact I used the ChatGPT platform. It's very cool and easy to use!

Here is the reply I got to my question:
In finance, a gap is considered to be filled when the price of the stock moves to fill the gap completely, meaning that the closing price of one period is equal to or intersects with the opening price of the previous period. The wick of the candle is not typically used to determine whether a gap has been filled or not; rather, it is the closing price that is used.

In other words, a gap is considered to be filled when the stock price returns to the level at which it was previously trading, regardless of whether this is represented by the body or the wick of the candlestick. For the gap to be considered filled, the price must completely overlap or intersect the gap, either at the closing or intraday price.
