insignificant value was given for the dividends by the time they got into shareholders hands. Period

not factual. perhaps there's confusion on what restricted stock was dividend vs the ones people who were paid for posting PRs on their behalf.

for the rest of us, either the dividends were super small compared to what was lost or there was restrictions until the pps was a pittance of what it should have been.
