Jay, while catching up on posts I came across you and Salty talking about your fascination with war history and had to laugh. My father and one of his brothers were also massive fans of war history, and every vacation my siblings and I were dragged through more battlefields than I can count. Of course, when you are a kid, there are only so many welded together piles of cannonballs and cannons you can clamber over before you are bored beyond belief, so at the time, you can imagine that we had little appreciation of his obsession with history, which included playing war games from different wars with his brother using plywood sheets with full size maps affixed, and straight pins with different colored heads for various regiments, etc. They would mail (snail mail, not email) or phone their moves to each other. I can well imagine them playing out the "biowar" you alluded to, using the statistical information available, and coming up with different strategies. And if they were still alive, would very likely be invested in Humanigen and lenz!!
