I was thinking that as well but into what affect it has on JK's ability to perform.
I know he has collected many IOUs over the years. In preparation for his retirement, to enhance it actually, he decided to pull all those IOUs for payment. Wahla, VXIT.
Problem was that those who 'owed' those IOUs knew he was soon to retire and no longer were assured they could count on him if or when they might in turn need his influence once again. So, they reneged on those in-kind IOUs.
Left him high and dry when it came to his 'last hurrah'. So now JK is hustling to regain what he laid out in the VXIT adventure (hell with SHs). It looks as if he just might fail.
