And that, my friend, shown a light on the depth of the stupidity on the Supreme Court. Allowing the confiscation of all profits while the entities were under conservatorships ; supposedly protecting the profits of the corporations. I can agree with that ---- but which head of FHFA had such balls ?

And - while I think of the NWS as a taking - I realize SCOTUS found a way to OK it

Yet - best I understand - Treasury is not taking cash money from GSEs. The GSEs keep the cash (calculation of quarterly dividend in $) but the LT (the "counter") goes up the same amount increasing the value (obligation) of the SP if F and F need to buy them back
