Their product is intended to be installed flush mounted in areas where lighting is impractical or at least very costly. Their device will stay in the ground until it’s time to resurface the road. Their target marketing is valid. This product is not intended to replace the millions of surface mount reflector turtles on the interstate. This guy is building these for sections of roads that need lane markings.

I must admit I am a bit unsure of the condition of these units after they have been dormant for a few months buried under snow. Salt can’t make it better either, though if they design a rock solid seal, use high grade stainless screws, and liberal amounts of deox lubricant when installing, they have a good chance. Very labor intensive though. This isn’t cheap. Installation will far exceed the $150 cost per unit.
