You raise a good point. There are liquidation companies that prey on the idea that a retail store is going out of business. People come in thinking they are getting some sort of clearance bargain. In fact, the liquidation companies bring in MORE merchandise and try to unload it on an unwary public.
Rotman's is still on the hook for at least one more year of rent payments on the store. It will be interesting to see if the rent gets paid. I don't think VYST has available cash to walk away clean.
