Read the paper. The tumors were imaged via PET initially and 3-6 weeks later (Obviously via labeled glucose uptake), not the Y90 placement. 3-6 weeks post Y90 application, PET scan for Y90 wouldn't be possible. Y90 half-life is too short for that.
Moreover, in the 2021 Dr Fisher paper you previously cited indirectly determining Radiogel containment in rabbit tumors (that FDA wasn't sold on), Dr Fisher clearly states Y90 is a pure beta emitter and didn't use the preferred direct imaging PET scan method to determine Y90 containment. As of 2021, he is on the record as a Y90 positron emission denier. Sadly RDGL has lost years and millions of $ as a result.
