A stock is where the economic interests reside. So, it travels with the stocks. This is why they trade accordingly on the Stock Market. The stock price doesn't form as if by magic. The former SEC chair, Clayton (Trump's appointee) pitched the idea of tokenization of a common stock, to deprive it of its value.
A common stock is a legal claim on future Net Income after the dividend payments on the JPS, regardless that the earnings are later retained by the companies.
A JPS is a legal claim on their par value per contract and a dividend payment (fixed-income security), where it's written that the dividend may be scrapped at the BOD's discretion.

It's not possible to win when the one you're playing against makes the rules and changes them when need be. You're one of the most knowledgeable here and it still puzzles me why you cannot see this.
