A number of years ago I was in a bar and a stranger walked in and said in a loud voice "I got a hundred bucks that says there is not a man in the house that can beat me in a game of 8 ball!"
A hundred bucks was a lot of money and everybody looked around but there were no takers. Nobody wanted to risk a Franklin against a man with unknown skills that had the balls to make a challenge like that.
In the same way, nobody is going to take your $10,000 bet.
As it turned out though, when the guy finally did pick up a cue, he played like crap and anybody could have beat him!
So why don't you make it for a game of 8 ball instead?
