but --- question

While the Senior Paper is out there and the Conservatorship is in force ----- Is it correct to say the MBS paper is GOV guaranteed --- it is my recollection that is explicit --- while the SP and conservatorship is in place ---- indeed it is one of the main reasons it was put in place - to calm down any selling of the MBS paper - in particular by Foreign Governments by placing this paper in the same category as Treasury notes and bills.
